Pro without the show.
For a limited time, Amazon is dropping up to 33% off a few of Alienware's pro-grade peripherals. The Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse is down to $99.99 (originally $150) and Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Keyboard is down to $139.99 (originally $200). The sale is in celebration of Insania and Boxi – two Team Liquid athletes – winning DOTA 2 The International, one of the largest esports events in the world, while using Alienware Pro peripherals.
33% Off Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse
In our Alienware Pro gaming mouse review, Matthew Adler writes, "Alienware’s first pro-grade mouse strikes a great balance between performance and battery life... Overall, it’s a great workhorse of a mouse that would make a worthwhile upgrade for pro and casual players alike." On a personal note, this is the mouse I currently use right now after my Logitech G Pro X Superlight stopped working on me. I highly recommend it if you're a fan of lightweight wireless gaming mice.
The Alienware Pro gaming mouse is a super-lightweight wireless mouse weighing in at under 60 grams, and it does so without resorting to an open honeycomb style chassis (which I'm not a fan of because they are less comfortable and get dirty quickly). This is a new generation of mouse that features higher than 1,000ms polling rate; the Alienware Pro achieves 4KHz in wireless mode and 8KHz in wired mode.
Other features include clicky magnetic force keyplates with optical switches, a 26K DPI optical sensor, up to 120 hours of battery life (at 1KHz, 32 hours at 4KHz), fast charging capability over USB-C, a low-profile USB-C dongle that stows away into the mouse when not in use, PTFE feet, and fully programmable keys through Alienware Command Center.
30% Off Alienware Pro Gaming Keyboard
In our Alienware Pro gaming keyboard review, the same Matthew Adler writes, "The Alienware Pro wireless keyboard is one of the best keyboards I’ve ever used... The 75% layout ensures all the necessary keys are available without the bloat found on larger keyboards, making this ideal for travel."
The Alienware Pro gaming keyboard is a well-built slim 75% keyboard with a solid metal top plate for additional heft. It has all of the premium features you'd find in a high-end gaming keyboard, like lubed linear mechanical switches, 1KHz wireless polling, and RGB backlighting with shine-through PBT (non-oily) keycaps.
However, you'll also find a lot of great features that you don't see every often in mass-marketed gaming keyboards, like a hot-swappable PCB that takes any 3-pin and 5-pin switches. That means you can swap in your own set of Kailh, Gateron, Otemu, Cherry, or any other brand of mechanical switch.
The Alienware Pro also offers three types of connectivity options: 2.4GHz WiFi, wireless Bluetooth, or wired over USB-C cable. There are other small yet welcome touches that enhance the overall typing experience gaming or otherwise, like sound-dampened silicone layers between the keyboard plate, POM (polyoxymethylene) material on the switch stems, and transparent light guides on the stem to enhance the RGB lighting.
