Amazon Has the Best Mario LEGO Deals for October Prime Day 2024
If you're looking to save some cash on LEGO Mario sets, this is the place to find them.
Amazon’s October Prime Day 2024 is in full swing now, with discounts across the board. One part of the board is LEGO sets. You can check out our full rundown of the best October Prime Day LEGO deals, but if you’re focused in on Mario, you’ve come to the right place. A number of excellent Mario sets are on sale for 20-30% off, which is a much better deal than you’re likely to get on non-Prime Days.
LEGO Mario Deals
Note that all of the sets called “expansions” require you to have one of the LEGO Super Mario Starter Sets, none of which are on sale at the moment unfortunately. The starter sets come with the figures (Mario, Peach, Luigi) that are required to really get the most of these sets.
So what are we looking at here? The LEGO Piranha Plant set is one of my personal favorites, since it looks perfectly round, plump, and cartoonish, despite being made of plastic bricks. It looks exactly like one of the chomping plants from the games and would look great as a piece of delightful decoration around your abode. It's one of our picks for the best LEGO Nintendo sets.
All the rest of the sets are part of the LEGO Super Mario line, which means they’re aimed at kids and intended to be played with rather than displayed in most cases. If you pick up one of the starter sets, it will come with a Mario, Luigi, or Peach figure you can use to “play” the sets. Those character figures have a scanner on the bottom of their feet that can read code blocks built into all of these expansion sets. For instance, the figure will register that you picked up coins for landing on certain enemies or terrain.
But even if you don’t have a starter set and have no plans to get one, some of the expansions look cool on their own. It’s up to you.
