AU Deals: A Slew of Stocking Filler Cheapies, Prime Gaming Freebies, and 2024 AAAs for Less!
Let's get your Santa sack sorted with a bunch of cheap games for either yourself or someone special.
As we race at breakneck speed to the business end of December, gifts will most likely be needed. The trick, it seems to me, is finding a way to spend minimal amounts of money on gifts that appear expensive, at which point one can spend the dollars saved on something great for oneself. Obviously, that's where today's deals come in. And if you mention any of this conversation to my friends or relatives, I'll simply deny it.
In retro news, I've baked a big 26-shaped wumpa fruitcake for Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped. After playing the absolute blue boardshorts off the first two Crash games, I can vividly recall being stoked as I super belly flopped into this newy at launch. Aside from an influx of vehicular mini-games, this was more or less the same deal—conquer five chambers worth of jumpy-jump levels, clobber five bosses, and secure 25 crystals. Easier said than 100-percented, though, as I still have PTSD from trying to secure Time Trial "Platinum Relics" in hell stages like Orange Asphalt.

This holiday season, I'm doing something different with the LEGO section. In Mathew Manor, my sons and I are racing LEGO Advent Calendars—we open our respective ones daily and compare the mini-prizes for "Coolness" and "Actual Xmas-ness". Winner gets extra eggnog.
If you're also feeling festive, here are the cheapest prices for the three calendars we're using. Or just live vicariously through us.
