Dungeons & Dragons: Diamond Select Reveals New Minimates Figures Inspired by Animated Series
Diamond Select Toys continues to tap into nostalgia around the classic Dungeons & Dragons cartoon with a third box set of D&D-themed Minimates figures.
More than 40 years after its original debut, there's still plenty of nostalgia for the classic Dungeons & Dragons animated series. Diamond Select Toys continues to tap into that nostalgia by releasing new collectibles inspired by the show and its accompanying toy line, and IGN can exclusively debut their latest Minimates release.
Following up their previous D&D Heroes and Villains boxsets, Diamond is back with a third Minimates set featuring pint-sized, blocky renditions of iconic characters from the show. Check out the slideshow gallery below for a look at all six figures:
The Dungeons & Dragons Minimates Series 3 Deluxe Box Set features six figures in all, including:
- Kelek
- Strongheart
- Orc Leader
- Beholder
- Dekkion and his Eagle mount
Like all Minimates, these figures are designed in a 2-inch scale and feature interchangeable parts and accessories. They come packaged in a full-color window box with a flap designed to look like a classic volume of Dungeons & Dragons. The figures were designed and illustrated by Barry Bradfield.
The Dungeons & Dragons Minimates Series 3 Deluxe Box Set is priced at $49.99 and is slated for release in Summer 2025. Preorders will open on the Diamond Select Toys website and other retailers on Friday, December 20.
In other D&D news, Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance is being delisted in early 2025. However, there are plenty mroe new games in the works. Alongside Invoke Studios' new game comes a D&D survival role-playing game life simulator from the Disney Dreamlight Valley developer, a virtual reality game from the creators of Demeo, a co-op game from Payday 3 developer Starbreeze, and a mysterious entry from Hasbro.
