2014’s Goat Simulator is set for the remastered treatment.

Goat Simulator famously lets players run around town as a goat, exploring a sandbox fun house and causing all sorts of trouble.

Goat Simulator Remastered includes new and improved visuals but, developer Coffee Stain said, all the “beloved” in-game bugs from the original remain. The trailer below has some fun referencing these bugs.

Meanwhile, the remaster also includes every DLC from Goat Simulator, as well as one DLC previously exclusive to the mobile version.

Here’s the official blurb:

In Goat Simulator, step into the hooves of Pilgor, a rambunctious goat with a tendency for destruction and chaos. Jump, kick, and lick your way across GoatVille as you find creative ways to ruin NPC’s days. Players earn points for the destruction they cause, which are used to unlock new features and mutators to enhance the goaty gameplay.

Goat Simulator Remastered reworks mutators, letting players choose whichever "goat" they want to play as from an in-game menu. This means there’s no more restarting the game to change how you look. On the graphics front, there are updated textures, new lighting, and brand new foliage.

Here’s the list of DLC included in Goat Simulator Remastered:

  • GoatVille - The Big Apple of Goat Simulator, as some would say…
  • Goat City Bay - The coastal jewel of northern GoatAsia
  • Goat MMO - A fantasy adventure across lands unknown
  • Goat Z - Can you survive the apocalypse?
  • PAYDAY - Gather your crew and prepare for a heist!
  • Waste of Space - Explore the outer reaches of space and see what popular sci-fi references lie within…
  • Buck to School - From Goat Simulator Mobile, GoatVille high has a new jock in town

Goat Simulator Remastered’s release ties in with the original game’s 10-year anniversary. It began life as an April Fool’s joke born out of a game jam at Swedish studio Coffee Stain, but went on to become a massive indie hit, selling millions of copies across PC, consoles, and mobile.

Goat Simulator Remastered is due out later in 2024 on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store, Xbox Series X and S, and PlayStation 5.

It’s a busy time for Coffee Stain, which is set to release Satisfactory’s long-awaited 1.0 version in September. It’s currently owned by controversial video game and entertainment company Embracer Group.
