Gaga has been teasing the announcement over the past few days, publishing Instagram posts with quotes like "I'm ready for my interview," "Don't tell me what to wear," and "No ducktape, no mission." She posted one last hint, "Still not October," last night.

Gaga and the rest of the team has been has been teasing her portrayal of the DC character for the last few months, with director Todd Phillips telling Variety last month that this version of Harley will be a little more grounded than fans are used to.

“The high voice, that accent, the gum-chewing and all that sort of sassy stuff that’s in the comics, we stripped that away,” he said at the time. “We wanted her to fit into this world of Gotham that we created from the first movie.”

Gaga, meanwhile, recently released "Die With a Smile" with Bruno Mars — also slightly thematically appropriate for Joker: Folie à Deux — and is gearing up for her seventh official album, referred to as "LG7" for now.

IGN caught Joker: Folie à Deux out of the Venice International Film Festival earlier this month, where we gave it a 5/10. "Despite the best efforts of Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga, and an opening hour set in Arkham Asylum, Joker: Folie à Deux wastes its potential as a movie musical, a courtroom drama, and a sequel that has anything meaningful to say about or add to the first Joker," Siddhant Adlakha wrote for IGN.
