Pricing Info on PlayStation 30th Anniversary Kit, Dropped Dragon's Dogma 2, Slashed Star Wars, and More!
Some historically reliable leakers spill some beans as we peruse today's best gaming bargains.
Though this is a place of daily deals—the polar opposite of exorbitant prices—let's talk about the (suspected Australian) pricing of the new 30th anniversary range of PS5 products. A known and legit leaker at Dealabs Magazine has divulged some US prices, which allows us to extrapolate. TL;DR: the 30th DualSense should be A$125, and the PS5 Slim Digital console ought to be A$780-$800. The PS5 Pro Bundle isn't mentioned, making this next statement an even bigger guesstimate: probably A$1700+.
In retro news, I'm celebrating the 32nd birthday of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, a true RPG classic. I co-played this around launch with my SNES-owning neighbour, and it was an all-consuming experience—tense dungeon crawling/puzzling, map drawing in exercise books, and critical intel swaps with other kids at school. Blind, pre-Internet adventuring was gruelling stuff that could stump you for days, but I'll be damned if it wasn't also Triforce levels of magical when you won.
