The OMEN Transcend 14 is HP's newest gaming laptop. It's also their lightest gaming laptop, weighing in at only 3.6 pounds and measuring 0.71" thin. It has better build quality than the standard OMEN; whereas the OMEN is mostly built out of plastic, the Transcend is built with a more robust aluminum chassis. This particular config features a 14" 2880x1800 OLED display, Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU, GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The new 15th generation Intel Meteor Lake processors have been renamed "Core Ultra" series and the Intel Core Ultra 9 185H CPU is the top-of-the-line model. It boasts a Max Turbo frequency of 5.1GHz with 16 cores, 22 threads, and a 24MB cache. This processor is the successor to the Core i9 CPU with an emphasis on lower power consumption and operating temps.

Note that the OMEN Transcend's RTX 4070 has a max TGP of 80W, which is less than the maximum 115W TGP you'll find on the most powerful RTX 4070 gaming laptops. That means you're going to compromise on gaming performance, but you'll also get a cooler running laptop that has a longer battery life compared to other laptops. Also, because this is an RTX 4070 GPU and not an RTX 4060, it should still have the chops to run most games smoothly on the beefed up resolution, especially if you're intending to run older games like Fortnite, Genshin Impact, or League of Legends.
