Sonic The Hedgehog 3's End Credits Scene Has Leaked Online

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 doesn't hit theatres until December 20 but spoilers have already leaked online, including of its end credits scene which sets up a fourth film.

As reported by Kotaku, smart phone recordings of the end credits scene in particular have appeared on social media websites such as X/Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.

Fans looking forward to Sonic 3 — which sees the introduction of Shadow the Hedgehog as a new villain played by The Matrix star Keanu Reeves — may therefore want to take measures to avoid spoilers in the coming days.

The end credit scene is of particular value as, after introducing Knuckles in the second film and Shadow the Hedgehog in this third one, it will introduce the big addition coming in the fourth Sonic the Hedgehog movie.

"It's fun to see the fan debates online about who's coming up next, who's going to be teased at the end of the film," director Jeff Fowler said in November. "We have a lot of the same conversations. We've all got our favorites on the filmmaking side, and we're all making great cases for 'it should be this one or that one.' It is fun to keep that anticipation. This movie is no different in terms of teasing new characters."

Fans can find out as intended when Sonic 3 hits theatres later this week, of course. "Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers unlike anything they have faced before," the synopsis reads.

"With their abilities outmatched in every way, Team Sonic must seek out an unlikely alliance in hopes of stopping Shadow and protecting the planet."
