The Best Black Friday Gaming PC Deals Are Still Live: Best Buy and Walmart Are the Winners Right Now

Without a doubt, the period between Black Friday and Cyber Monday is the best time of year to upgrade your gaming PC. Several retailers including Alienware, Best Buy, Walmart, HP, and Lenovo have released excellent Black Friday deals that are mostly still available even though Black Friday has passed. There are a lot of options to choose from, and I've highlighted the deals I think stand above the rest. These deals should remain through Cyber Monday. I expect some expired deals to return as well as an entirely new set of deals on products that weren't discounted during Black Friday.

Alienware Aurora R16 i7 RTX 4060 Ti Gaming PC

The Alienware Aurora R16 gaming PC features a Intel Core i7-14700F CPU, RTX 4060 Ti GPU, 16GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The RTX 4060 Ti video card is a very good option for 1080p gaming at high frame rates. It's also the minimum NVIDIA GPU we'd recommend for 1440p gaming.

Dell has dropped the price on this Alienware Aurora R16 RTX 4070 Super gaming PC to $1,499.99. This is the best value for gamers who want a PC that can run any game they want and are on a reasonable budget. The RTX 4070 Super is one of the best graphics cards for most people; it's affordably priced and yet it's powerful enough to run games at up to 4K (although 1440p is its sweet spot). In her RTX 4070 Super review, Jacqueline Thomas wrote that "The Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Super is the mid-range card we should have got back when the RTX 4000 generation launched. It's around 16% faster in most games at the same price. If you've been waiting to make your GPU upgrade, now's the time."

More Alienware Black Friday Deals

If you're in the market for a prebuilt gaming PC, Alienware is one of best gaming brands we'd recommend. The Alienware Black Friday Sale has already started with some outstanding deals on Alienware Aurora R16 gaming desktops. We like Dell (they own the Alienware brand) for its consistent build quality, available inventory, frequent sales, and solid customer service, which is why they are often at the top of our buying list for gaming PCs.

HP's new sensibly designed Omen 35L gaming PC is least expensive at Best Buy. This attractive gaming desktop features an AMD Ryzen 7 8700G, RTX 4060 Ti GPU, 16GB of RAM, and a 1TB SSD. The RTX 4060 Ti video card is a very good option for 1080p gaming at high frame rates. It's also the minimum NVIDIA GPU we'd recommend for 1440p gaming.

More Black Friday Gaming PC Deals

Best Buy has already several excellent gaming PC deals as part of its Best Buy Black Friday Sale. If you're on a budget, the iBuyPower Scale RTX 4060 gaming PC for $699.99 is a solid deal and a great candidate for 1080p gaming. For something more powerful, consider the MSI Aegis Z2 with an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 CPU and RTX 4070 Super GPU.

Walmart's best Black Friday gaming PC deal

As part of its Walmart Black Friday Sale, Walmart is offering this CyberPowerPC Gamer Supreme gaming PC for only $1,199 after a $370 instant discount. This PC features an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 CPU, Radeon RX 7900 GRE GPU, 32GB of DDR5 memory, and a 2TB M.2 SSD. The Radeon RX 7900 GRE is a relatively recent (March 2024) release. It's roughly 10-15% faster than the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 GPU and is more comparable to the new RTX 4070 Super. This rig is ideal for gaming at up to 1440p resolution at high framerates, although it can also run most games in 4K.

The OMEN 45L is HP's flagship gaming PC. This is HP's roomiest chassis with plenty of cooling in the form of three 120mm fans positioned at the front of the case and another three 120mm fans attached to the 360mm all-in-one liquid cooling radiator at the top of the case. This PC is equipped with a massive 1,200W 80PLUS Gold certified power supply that's big enough for even the most power-hungry of gaming PCs.

The RTX 4090 is the most powerful GPU on the market. In his RTX 4090 review, Chris Coke writes, "The RTX 4090 may be huge and expensive, but holy smokes if it doesn’t blow the competition out of the water... Until the rest of the pack can catch up, between its impressive hardware specs and its DLSS 3 AI wizardry, even the $1,599 price doesn’t seem unreasonable for the unrivaled frame rates that this card can crank out."

For $900 less, HP has another OMEN 45L gaming PC on sale. This configuration is equipped with an Intel Core i7-14700K Raptor Lake CPU, RTX 4080 Super GPU, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD for only $2,099.99 after a $700 off discount.

The 4080 Super is a second generation card that supersedes the RTX 4080. It's Nvidia's second most powerful card and a superior GPU to AMD's Radeon RX 7900 RTX if you factor in DLSS and ray tracing performance. In our RTX 4080 Super review, Jackie Thomas writes, "If you're in the market for a 4K graphics card around $1,000, it's hard to think of any GPU that's a better purchase right now. This is the RTX 4080 that should have launched in 2022."

More HP Black Friday Deals

HP has kicked off its Black Friday Sale, which includes deals on their Omen and Victus gaming PCs. Save up to $1,000 off HP's flagship Omen 45L gaming PC, which is equipped with your choice of an RTX 4090 or 4080 Super GPU and 240mm-360mm AIO liquid cooling. For the budget-minded, the HP Victus gaming PC with RTX 4060 GPU is down to $779.99.

This the currently the best Cyber Monday deal at Lenovo. This Legion Tower 7i RTX 4080 Super gaming PC is currently available for under $2000 with coupon code "LEGIONC5SALE24". This system will pretty much run any game in 4K at maximum settings, even with ray tracing enabled. We rarely see a Legion RTX 4080 gaming PC ever drop below $2,000, and we even reviewed it as well.

More Lenovo Black Friday Deals

Lenovo seemed to have taken a back seat during Black Friday, but apparently not for Cyber Monday. They've just kicked off a Lenovo Cyber Monday Sale early with some great deals on their Legion gaming PCs and laptops. These deals are far better than the Lenovo deals we saw during Black Friday and easily as good as the best deals from other retailers. It's actually not surprising that Lenovo decided to hold off until now; according to my past experience, online-only PC retailers like Lenovo, Alienware, and HP (Omen) generally tend to dish out better deals on Cyber Monday.

If you're in the process of building out a new gaming PC and you're looking for the best gaming processor, this is it. Right now, the recently released AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D AM5 desktop processor is back in stock at Amazon at its retail price of $479 shipped. This is the official launch price with zero markup, and it's not bundled with anything you don't want or need.

The AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is the best gaming processor currently on the market and a much better option than the new Intel Core Ultra 9 285K. If you're waiting for a discount on this processor for Black Friday, though, don't hold your breath. There is the slimmest of slim chances that anyone will drop the price of this hot commodity before 2025.

In our AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D review, Jackie Thomas wrote that "the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is extremely powerful in games, which makes it easier to recommend than other recent processors like the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K or Ryzen 9 9900X. Especially if you’re building a rig with a powerful graphics card, the 9800X3D is going to be the best way to get the most performance out of whichever GPU you pair it with.

Will the Deals Change for Cyber Monday?

In my experience, many of the same deals we saw on Black Friday will return for Cyber Monday 2024, including deals that were sold out or expired. Retailers usually release their hottest selling items in batches so that every sale event has at least some inventory reserved. That said, I also expect plenty of new, never before seen deals. Traditionally, Black Friday was known as the "retail holiday," where the best deals were found in-store, and Cyber Monday was known as the "online holiday," where the best deals were online only. Although today the lines have blurred, it is still true that many online only retailers still consider Cyber Monday the sale event of the year instead of Black Friday. Expect some amazing sales to come out of online-only sites like Amazon, Newegg, Dell, HP, Lenovo and several online-only deals from traditional retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. In fact, Amazon has taken the preemptive and already switched over to Cyber Monday.
