The Walmart Labor Day Sale Has Deals You Can't Find Anywhere Else
We dug out the ones that matter.
I've been scouring the web for the overall best Labor Day sales all week and have found a surprisingly good selection of discounts so far. Although the Amazon Labor Day sale seems to have the most overall deals so far, Walmart's Labor Day offerings appear to be just as good if not better in many cases.
To help you cut through the noise of which retailer you should shop at for what item, I've gone ahead and assembled a quick list of the the 5 best deals at Walmart you won't find anywhere else. Each of these products is either an exclusive Walmart deal or is simply more expensive everywhere else.
If you want to take a look at the sale more closely, you can find all of the Walmart deals right here.
The Best Walmart Labor Day Deals We've Found
The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom - $49.99
Labor Day sales aren't generally the time we'd expect to be finding good video game deals, but Walmart has some surprisingly good deals on Switch games happening right now. More specifically, the retailer is offering The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom at the lowest price we've seen so far. This is arguably the best Switch game you can buy and we gave it a perfect 10 out of 10 score when we reviewed it last year. Alongside this game, you can also find deals on various other Zelda titles in the sale.
iBuyPower Y60 Gaming PC + Assassin's Creed Shadows - $1,399
iBuyPower is one of the better budget gaming PC brands, and this deal on a prebuilt desktop with an RTX 4070 GPU is one of the best Labor Day deals we've found so far. It is, at the very least, the best gaming PC deal at Walmart right now. As an extra bonus on top of the already massive discount, your purchase will come with a download voucher for Assassin's Creed: Shadows, which doesn't release until November 15.
Nintendo Switch Lite - $164.89
While it's true that we've seen better deals on the Nintendo Switch Lite in the past, the fact remains that Walmart currently has the best prices for Labor Day. The lowest price we could find anywhere on the Switch Lite console was on the Turquoise version featured here, which offers a $34.11 discount. Black Friday will probably be a better time to buy the Nintendo Switch, but if you're in the market for one right now, the Walmart sale is the one to shop.
onn. 65-inch 4K Smart TV - $298
If you're looking for a 65-inch TV under $300, Walmart is offering one of the most affordable options across any Labor Day sale right now. onn. is actually Walmart's own TV brand, so they are often able to reduce prices on them below many comparable competitor TVs. That low price does come with trade-offs however, and you shouldn't expect this TV to come with great HDR or even excellent sound like some of the best 4K TVs offer. However, at a price this low, it's still worth picking up if you're just looking an extra big-screen TV for a really low price.
For something more high-end, you should check out the deal on the LG C4 we found elsewhere.
Shark IQ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum - $268
There are a lot of different robot vacuum brands out there right now, but the Shark IQ brand is one of the more trusted options. Although other retailers have Labor Day discounts on various different Shark robot vacuums, Walmart currently has the best overall deal on self-emptying unit. The Shark IQ Robot Vacuum we've featured on this list is currently listed with a huge $232 discount during the sale, and you can't find the same price anywhere else.
Xbox Wireless Controller - Pulse Red - $44
Walmart is more often than not a great place to find deals on Xbox products. One such deal happening for Labor Day is on the Pulse Red Xbox Wireless controller. Although it's normally priced at $64.99, Walmart is currently offering at just $44 after a pretty nice discount. We were actually able to find a similar deal at Target and Lenovo, but Walmart is offering an extra dollar off right now.
We've actually reviewed the Xbox controller and still think it's one of the best options you can buy. Not only is it the best Xbox controller, it's also one of our favorite PC controllers for anyone looking to ditch their mouse and keyboard.
What Else Is Worth Shopping In the Walmart Labor Day Sale?
Outside of the best deals we've featured above, the Walmart sale seems to line up fairly consistently with our recommendations on what to buy on Labor Day. There are some genuinely great discounts on laptops, PCs, TVs, furniture, and even mattresses happening during the sale. Some of the better discounts you'll find are going to be on indoor and outdoor appliances, similar to what we are seeing at other retailers. So if you're in the market for a grill or a coffee machine, the Walmart sale is a great place to browse. Similarly, a lot of the outdoor furniture that is going out of season is available for some of the lowest prices of the year.
Does Walmart Price Match Other Retailers?
We tried to focus our top picks on deals that are actually exclusive to Walmart. That being said, Walmart will often price match other retailers during sales events like Labor Day. That's not to say if you find a cheaper price somewhere else that Walmart is guaranteed to match it, but their online storefront will usually match Amazon on many brands that are spread across retailers. That's why, for example, you can find the same Apple Watch deals on both Amazon and Walmart right now. Finding the deals that only Walmart has takes a little extra research and care because of this.
Do You Need a Walmart+ Subscription to Shop the Sale?
The Walmart Labor Day sale is open to everyone, both online and in stores. You do not need a Walmart+ membership to access the deals featured here. That being said, Walmart+ does offer many benefits that could help you save in the long run. A membership includes things like free shipping with no order minimum and free delivery from your local store on things like groceries.
