Walmart Slashes 50% Off Its Walmart+ Membership Ahead of Black Friday
First dibs on all of Walmart's Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals.
Walmart's best Black Friday deal has already started. Walmart is now discounting its Walmart+ membership by 50% off, which means you're paying only $49 instead of $98. This promotional price is available to anyone who isn't a current annual Walmart+ member. That means new, expired, trial, and monthly members are all eligible. This deal only comes around a few times a year and you absolutely do not want to miss out. Walmart+ gives you a whole host of benefits that extends beyond free expedited shipping, including streaming access to Paramount+, early access to Black Friday deals, and more. This sale ends on December 2.
50% Off 1 Year Walmart+ Membership
Walmart+ Basic Membership Perks
If you're a regular Walmart shopper, then the Walmart+ membership is worth $49 even outside of Black Friday. Standard perks like removing the minimum threshold for free shipping or being able to return an item from the comfort of your home are significant everyday perks that shouldn't be overlooked. Some of the best standard benefits include:
- Free shipping with no minimum (normally $35+)
- Free returns, including free pickup from your house for many items
- 10 cent discount on select gas stations
- Free tire repair and road hazard warranty at Walmart Auto Care Centers
- Mobile scan & go checkout at retail locations
Early Access to Black Friday Deals
Last year Walmart+ members got a three hour headstart on the best Black Friday deals, but this year this benefit is even better. Walmart recently announced that it will release Black Friday deals in two separate time frames. Event 1 starts on November 11 and Event 2 starts on November 25. For both events, Walmart+ members will get a five hour headstart. In addition, Walmart+ members will get a three hour headstart on Cyber Monday. Last year, some of the best deals were only readily accessible before the Walmart+ exclusive window ended. Walmart typically saves some inventory for the non-W+ crowd, but it's much harder to grab the deal before it goes out of stock. We expect 2024 to be no different.
Complimentary Paramount+ Subscription
The Walmart+ membership also includes an annual Paramount+ Essential (ad-supported) subscription, which normally costs $60. Paramount+ is one of the better populated streaming services available. Its extensive library of media has been bolstered with the addition of Showtime earlier last year, making it a great service for those who enjoy movies, original shows, live sports, news, and more. Some highlights include the Yellowstone prequels 1883 and 1923, Star Trek content like Picard, the live-action Halo tv series, and exclusive South Park specials, as well as fan-favorite reboots such as Beavis and Butt-Head, Frasier, Rugrats, iCarly, and more. Current movies include A Quiet Place: Day One, Knuckles (a Paramount exclusive), and If with Ryan Reynolds. Sports fans can stream the NFL on CBS, UEFA Champions League, and more.
Walmart+ Launches First-Ever Dining Benefit with Burger King
Walmart recently added yet another reason to sign up for the Walmart+ membership. Moving forward, Walmart+ members can enjoy 25% off any Burger King digital order every day. In addition, members can receive a free flame-grilled Whopper with any purchase every 3 months via the BK app or bk.com. For those of you who eat at Burger King on a semi-regular basis, this is just one extra perk added to the laundry list of benefits you’ll enjoy from a Walmart+ membership.
Additional Limited Time Offers
From time to time, Walmart+ membership gives you access to additional limited time offers. These rotate every so often, but here are the ones that are available right now:
- Get up to 5 free months of Apple Arcade
- Subscribe to SiriusXM & get 6 months free
- Get 25% off 4 months of Hallmark+ and $5 Walmart Cash
